1.SPANISH & ECOLOGY

Costa Rica is renowned worldwide for its bio-diversity and its protection of the environment, qualities that allow Intensa to offer our students exciting programs in eco-tourism in the way of guided field trips and hikes while they receive four hours of  Spanish lessons either in the morning or afternoon as climatic conditions*  permit.  Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of volcanoes, national parks and reserves as well as visit a recycling plant, observe organic farming in process and the breeding of the Red Lapa (parrot).

2. MEDICAL SPANISH

The participant will receive four hours of conversation practice in a small group in the morning followed by another two hours of individual practice in the afternoon that focuses on medical-health themes.  During the course of study, the student will become acquainted with Costa Rica´s healthcare systems both public and private by visiting hospitals and clinics.

3. BUSINESS SPANISH

The participant will receive four hours of conversation practice in a small group in the morning followed by another two hours of individual practice in the afternoon that focuses on the student’s business concerns including the preparation of written documents  used on a day-to- day basis or in public presentations.

4.  LATIN AMERICAN HISTORY AND POLITICS

Delve into Latin America’s most salient historical, political and cultural events while doing intensive Spanish conversation work.

7. SPRING, SUMMER OR  & WINTER PROGRAMS & SPANISH ABROAD

These programs are designed for high school students who want to improve their Spanish- speaking capabilities while experiencing Costa Rica´s natural splendors.  In the morning, the participant will engage in four hours of Spanish conversation practice in a small group and in the afternoon travel to points of interest accompanied by an experienced guide.

Weekend tours: 3 days-2 nights the excursion leaves after classes on Friday, includes hotel (double room), all meals, transportation and entrance tickets to the different parks.
